Since 2021, SLOMERF has funded:

A $30,000 grant for Transitions Mental Health to perform a Critical Needs Assessment regarding mental health care in our local community. The Critical Needs Assessment report has generated a great deal of consideration as to how our community can improve its mental health care.

A $12,000 donation to be used as an educational/cost of living stipend for up to four Hematology Oncology fellows from UCLA to be able to so 2 week rotation through a local Hematology Oncology clinic. During their rotation, Fellows are asked to provide an educational noon-time talk by Zoom for our local medical community.

A $3,000 donation to First 5 to help fund a SLO County Pediatric Town Hall educational event for local providers on March 21, 2023

A $10,000 donation to fund three educational talks by Laura Stack of Johnny’s Ambassadors about the harmful effects of today’s marijuana on the developing brain of teenagers.
